WP3. Pilot testing and evaluation of the platform through the organization of a trade fair in virtual reality

WP3. Pilot testing and evaluation of the platform through the organization of a trade fair in virtual reality

T3.1 – Drafting of the plan and preparation of pilot tests (M16 – M20, TETRAGON: 3 PM; EKETA: 1 PM, D3.1):
The objective of T3.1 is to draft the testing plan, as well as to invite and train candidate exhibitors for testing the platform. The pilot applications to be carried out will simulate a real exhibition. Within the framework of these tasks, provisions will be made for solutions to potential problems; for example, tests will be conducted remotely, where support will be available via remote user computer management (Remote Desktop, TeamViewer) to resolve any issues.

T3.2 – Execution of pilot tests with exhibitors and the general public (M18 – M22, TETRAGON: 12 PM; EKETA: 4 PM, D3.2):
The platform will be tested in real-time, where at least 5 exhibitors and 40 visitors will be able to attend the exhibition space, converse, obtain information via multimedia, and teleport to a business environment, e.g., a factory. Trade fairs and culture are interrelated concepts. Within the project framework, it will be studied to what extent a region’s culture can be promoted within trade fairs to advertise a region’s sights and products. For this reason, the pilot application will include, besides commercial booths, a booth promoting culture, based on previous relevant booths designed by TETRAGON.

T3.3 – Data collection and evaluation of results (M20-M24, EKETA: 5 PM; TETRAGON: 4 PM, D3.2):
Parallel to the conduct of tests by the organizer, exhibitor, and public groups, working group members will observe and record all details in the virtual environment to produce the data necessary for system evaluation. Additional information is expected to emerge from online questionnaires and remote interviews to be held with the stakeholder groups after the completion of each test, as well as from the detailed usage analytics collected via the platform. In the context of T3.3, all the above will be collected and analyzed to derive the evaluation of the user experience regarding the quality of experience, the friendliness of user interfaces, and the fulfillment of each user group’s objectives.

    Roles:
TETRAGON will coordinate WP3 and will also act as the organizer of the virtual exhibition. EKETA will collect evaluation data and proceed with drawing conclusions for the improvement of the platform.
